JR Tree Service · Chandler & Tyler, TX · Open 24/7

Big East Texas trees, taken down to flush grade and raked clean.

Removals, trimming, stump grinding and forestry mulching around Tyler. Jesus and his crew cut it, chip it, grind it below the grass and blow the yard out before they leave. Free estimates.

What we do, top of the tree to the grass

Every job starts at the crown and ends below the lawn.

One customer had three big pines out of the front yard, one of them 80 feet tall. That is where this page starts. Follow it down and you will find each thing we do at the height we do it.

Tree Removal

Hazardous trees leaning at the house, storm-broken trees and old pines too big for the yard. We take them down in sections, lower what has to be lowered, and the loader carries the rounds out so nothing gets dropped on a fence.

Tree Trimming

Routine trimming keeps a tree healthy through the Texas heat and the storms, and keeps weak limbs off the roof. A good trim is a list of small, deliberate cuts, the same ones a customer listed after we trimmed four big trees he had planted 27 years ago:

Thinning
Open the crown so wind passes through it instead of pushing it over.
Mistletoe out
Cut out before it spreads further along the limb.
Low limbs raised
Clearance over the drive, the walk and the roof line.
Cuts sealed
To help guard fresh wounds against insects.

Stump Removal

A stump left behind looks harmless. It is a soft target for termites, carpenter ants and pine beetles that can work their way toward the house, and for fungus that spreads into the healthy trees around it.

We grind it down below the grass so the spot rakes level and seeds over.

Look for the circle

If the white loader in the driveway has a JR on the side, it's us.

“He was well equipped to do the work with even a chipper for cleanup,” one customer wrote. The loader carries the big rounds out, the grapple feeds the chipper, the grinder handles the stump and the mulcher clears the land.

What the yard looked like after

The stumps were ground down and in such a way that it was not easy to say a tree had been there at all. The clean up was to the point where you could not easily tell the work had taken place.

“this is the best our place has looked in over 14 years…we have 25 trees across the whole yard…everything was overgrown…Jesus and his crew got all trees back in shape as well as the over hang from neighbors trees over our fence…one day…cut and clean up is done”

“He arrived on time for the estimate and the job, gave fair price, and was able to work safely to take down a tree next to power and cable lines as well as trim large branches off of two other trees.”

From the estimate to the last leaf

How a JR job runs, in the order your neighbors described it.

  1. Before

On time, with a fair price

Jesus walks the tree with you and prices it before any saw starts. Ask, and the insurance comes in writing with the estimate.

  2. First cut

    Planned around what's below

Roofs, fences, fire pits, power and cable lines. Big trees come down in pieces, in the order that keeps everything under them standing.

  3. Brush

    Chipped on the spot

The chipper rides along on every job, so limbs go through it in the yard instead of sitting in a pile by the street.

  4. Stump

    Ground below the grass

The grinder takes the stump down past the root flare so the spot can be raked level and seeded.

  5. Last pass

Blown out with a commercial blower

Leaves, chips and sticks off the lawn, so your lawn guy has nothing to complain about the next time he mows.
