24/7 Emergency Tree Service

A tree on the house, the fence or the driveway after a storm. Call any hour and the crew comes with the saws and the loader.

Chapter 01

When the tree lands on something

A tree on the house, the fence, a car or the driveway does not wait for office hours, and neither does JR Tree Service. The Google listing says open 24 hours, and the crew's own site says “Available 24/7 for emergency service.”

Storms around Tyler tend to leave the same few problems: a pine snapped at the top, a split trunk, a big oak limb hung up over the roof where nobody wants to stand under it.

Call (903) 952-7502 and say it is an emergency. Tell us where the tree is, what it is lying on and whether any wires are near it. That is what decides the order of the work.

Equipped for the dangerous ones

JR Tree Service describes this work as “Fast and reliable service when needed most.” Its team is “equipped with the best equipment to quickly and safely manage dangerous tree situations.”

On the street that looks like a track loader with a grapple carrying cut rounds out of the yard, the chipper taking the limbs behind the traffic cones, and a commercial leaf blower finishing the lawn so the sticks are gone before the crew drives off.

Wires are the part to tell us about first. Jill Wolverton wrote that Jesus “was able to work safely to take down a tree next to power and cable lines.” If a line is down, the electric utility comes first and we come after, with the cuts planned around what is still live.

Chapter 03

After the saws stop

JR Tree Service lists “clearing storm damage trees from your property” as part of the job, and the clearing is not finished when the trunk is off the roof. The limbs are chipped, the rounds are hauled, and the yard is blown clean.

Dan Herrin, describing a removal day, wrote that “The clean up was to the point where you could not easily tell the work had taken place.” That is the standard the crew works to after a storm too.

What is left, a stump, a split tree next door that took damage, limbs that need trimming back, gets a free estimate once the emergency is over. Jesus walks it with you and prices it before any saw starts.

Any hour

What to do in the first hour.

A tree on the property is stressful and the wrong move can hurt someone. These come before the saw does.

Stay away from downed power lines.

If a line is down, sagging or touching the tree, treat it as live. Keep people and pets back, do not touch the tree or anything it is touching, and call the electric utility first. Then call us for the tree.

Get everyone out from under it.

If the tree is on a room or a car and it is safe to move, get out. Keep clear of any limb hung up overhead. Call 911 if anyone is hurt.

Do not cut it yourself.

A trunk or limb pinned against something can snap back when the saw goes through. Pinned wood is the part the loader and grapple are for.

Take photos from a safe distance.

A few pictures of the tree and what it hit, taken before anything moves, help when you talk to your insurance company.

Call (903) 952-7502.

Give the address, what the tree is lying on and where any wires are. The phone is answered any hour.

Once the danger is handled, the work itself is a tree removal with the stump and the clean-up priced on top, in writing if you ask.

Tree down? Call now.

The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, around Tyler and Chandler. Insured and bonded, in writing with your estimate if you ask.
